Cloud2 hosted a business seminar to a packed conference room at The Leeds Club on Tuesday, February 25 – covering a range of topics from planning for an intranet to how to supercharge business intelligence within your organisation. The event was co-hosted with Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust.
Systems Manager, Leigh Welch talked about how Norfolk & Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust have introduced an integrated intranet, extranet and Internet solution to better engage with staff, professionals and patients. The joined up solution builds on their Hadron 8020 intranet with public websites, a professionals’ portal and referral form integration. Leigh spoke about how the Trust has made proactive steps to explore new ways to apply these technologies to improve the way they operate; not just for themselves, but for their patients too. Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust provides child and adult mental health services, substance misuse and learning disability services across Norfolk and Suffolk.
With additional guest speaking slots from Graham Bennett from Insource and Chris Speer from Microsoft who covered the latest developments.
Cloud2’s own Taran Sohal, Phil Cockayne and Simon Hudson rounded out the speaking engagements for the day, covering a history of SharePoint in the NHS; the importance of being prepared by using audits, healthchecks and readiness assessments and how to increase intranet user adoption, as well as a full case study of NHS England’s enterprise intranet in the cloud – “BoB”.
